Located in the semi-rural region in the North-East of Chapeltown, this project consisted of the refurbishment and extension to existing care home increasing the capacity of the home. The primary focus of the project, given the nature of the building usage, was to update the building to provide level access wherever practicable and bringing it up to current regulatory standards; this included providing small exterior extensions to each room. All social spaces within the building were improved and reformatted to suit the new resident’s needs. The main entrance has also been remodelled to provide a more focal entrance point and to best suit the proposed car park layout and ease of access to comply with Approved Document M volume 2.
